Massachusetts was approved for the Lost Wages grant on Aug. 21. It will provide $300 extra in unemployment benefits per week.

Do recipients need to do anything?

No. “Eligible claimants currently receiving benefits do not need to take any action because the Commonwealth will automatically add LWA to their weekly benefit payment retroactive to the dates they are eligible,” according to a news release.

When will the money go out? Probably by Sept. 15.
